Tribal designs have been among the most popular tattoo subjects in the past ten years. ‘Tribal' describes a range of signs that denote something magical and ancestral at the same time.
In most cases we do not know the meaning or what they represent; often the people who create them don't know either.
Yet if the juxtaposition of black and white and curves and crosses is balanced and harmonious, if we see the abstract design as the missing piece that completes the jigsaw of our skin, then we have found its meaning.
We have put together this collection by diving into our bottomless pool of thousands of designs or ‘signs' that make the best subjects. We have chosen small tribals because it is a fact that most tattoo first timers go for a small tribal design.
