MULAFEST and METRO DE MADRID Present the World of Tattooing

On 21st and 22nd June, at the subway station of Chamartín, six international tattoo artists will stage various live demonstrations of their work in order to offer members of the public an insight into the techniques and processes that make up this age-old discipline

This activity has been organised in order to provide a taste of what will be on offer at the grand International Tattoo Convention, which is due to take place within the framework of MULAFEST, the first multi-disciplinary urban culture festival. MULAFEST will be staged at IFEMA, FERIA DE MADRID, from 12th to 15th July.

Madrid, 12th June 2012.- Next21st and 22nd June, from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm, six international tattoo artists will turn the subway station of Chamartín into a veritable showcase for the age-old discipline of tattooing.  Tattoo professionals of the stature of Laura Juan, from Le Tatouage; Ostia, from Ostia Tattoo; Pablo Ash, from Estigma Tatto; Pablo García, from La Mano Zurda; Juan Martín, from Mao & Cathy, Miguel Bohigues, from V Tattoo, will offer different demonstrations of their work on the backs and arms of a series of previously selected models, thus offering a unique and live insight into the skills and techniques employed by these renowned specialists.

This is one of the activities that has been organised in order to provide a taste of what visitors will find at the first grand Tattoo Convention, which is due to take place within the framework of MULAFEST, the first multi-disciplinary urban culture festival. MULAFEST will be staged at IFEMA, FERIA DE MADRID, from 12th to 15th July. Alongside the most authentic Spanish and foreign tattoo projects, this event will also focus on the world of skating, motorbike customisation, BMX, art, music and dance, amongst many other disciplines.

In this respect, during the course of MULAFEST, members of the public will be able to discover all of the secrets of tattoo culture at an International Convention featuring the participation of a total of 150 of the world’s best tattoo artists.  This cast of professionals will come together in Hall 6 at FERIA DE MADRID in order to place their skills at the disposal of visitors who wish to be tattooed live or experiment with synthetic skin. Furthermore, throughout the course of the week-long festival, ten prestigious guests will offer a series of conferences and chats on the theme of this age-old art.

The Madrid Tattoo Convention will feature the best facilities, replete with strictly regulated booths and equipment.
